Delete a line of text quickly

You've just written a long e-mail when you realize it needs to be shortened drastically. What do you do?
Move your cursor to the beginning of the line you want to delete. Hold down the Cmd key on your keyboard, and press the Delete key.
Voilà! The line is gone!
